Greensboro, North Carolina – The Greensboro Police Department said in a social media statement that it had arrested a suspect in the city’s fourth homicide of 2025.

According to GPD, units responded to 2939 West Vandalia Road in reference to a stabbing/gunshot wound call. At the scene, officers found 25-year-old Darius Deshaud Goolsby in the breezeway with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound.

Authorities say the victim passed away at an area hospital. In a GPD statement, it was announced that 25-year-old Jalen Xavier Burch was arrested and charged with First-Degree Murder.
