Forest Heights Police investigating double homicide on Seneca Drive

Forest Heights, Maryland – The Forest Heights Police Department announced that it is investigating a double homicide in the 100 block of Seneca Drive.

According to FHPD, its officers responded to a shooting at the aforementioned location around 5:49 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police say officers found two male victims who were pronounced deceased by Prince George’s County Fire and EMS. FHPD confirms the investigation is ongoing.

The case is being handled by PGPD and FHPD’s Criminal Investigations Unit. Police have not provided any details about the suspects or the events leading up to the shooting.

Update 1 – The Prince George’s Police Department says its Homicide Unit has assumed control of the investigation into the double fatal shooting in Forest Heights on Tuesday evening.

Authorities have identified the victims of the double shooting as 24-year-old Brian Freeman and 21-year-old Sakou Mathis. No other details are available at this time.
