Fayetteville, North Carolina – The Fayetteville Police Department is investigating a homicide after responding to a reported missing person.

According to FPD, officers responded to a residence in the 900 block of Tamarack Drive in reference to a reported missing person around 8:42 a.m. on January 4, 2025.

Police say responding officers found an adult female suffering from fatal injuries. Medical personnel responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.

Authorities are not identifying the victim at this time. No other details are available.
