Columbus, Georgia – The Columbus Police Department has announced the arrest of a suspect in the death of Sonny Chambers.
According to CPD, 22-year-old Quentez Thrasher was arrested and charged with Murder (Family Violence) and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime on December 17, 2024.
CPD says officers responded to a residence in the 7300 block of Sorrel Court regarding a shooting around 1:18 a.m. on December 5, 2024.
At the scene, officers reportedly found Chambers deceased from gunshot wounds. Authorities say Thrasher is Chambers’ stepson. No other details are available at this time.
