The Chesapeake Police Department says a fight at a local business led to a shooting on Sunday night.

According to CPD, it received a call of people fighting in the parking lot of a local business in the 4100 block of Portsmouth Boulevard around 9:17 p.m. on December 1, 2024.

Police say they received additional calls reporting that someone was also shooting a gun during the incident. CPD says officers found an adult female who was injured from the fight and an adult male who had been shot.

The parties were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. CPD says the suspects fled the scene before officers arrived.
