On Friday evening, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department announced that it was investigating a homicide. CMPD’s Homicide Unit is in the 1300 block of Parkwood Avenue investigating a homicide.

At this time, it is confirmed that one person has died. It is not known how the victim succumbed to their injuries or what led up to the death. No other details are available at this time.
