Boston, Massachusetts – The Boston Police Department has announced the arrest of a suspect in connection to a homicide at Ramsey Park. According to police, 40-year-old Rasheedah Hughes was arrested in the murder of 65-year-old Celia Simmons.
The suspect is expected to be arraigned on December 23, 2024. Boston Police say officers responded to a radio call about a person stabbed at Ramsey Park at 1917 Washington Street around 12:48 p.m. on November 16, 2024.
Police say officers found a victim suffering from stab wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. Authorities identified the victim as 65-year-old Celia Simmons.
