Boise Police involved in officer-involved shooting with suspect who had a knife

The Boise Police Department reports that its officers have been involved in another officer-involved shooting. BPD reports that an officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle near Division and Howe around 3:05 p.m. on Wednesday.

Police say one occupant pulled out a knife and fled on foot into a neighborhood near South Division Avenue.

BPD reports that officers set up a perimeter and drones were used to help search for the suspect. Officers found the suspect on Colorado.

BPD says there was an officer-involved shooting during the contact. The suspect was transported to an area hospital. No other details are available at this time.

This is the second BPD officer-involved shooting in several days. The other incident occurred on Sunday in the 1300 block of North Liberty Street.
