Gundrymd.com is an online supplement vendor. The Bio Complete 3 formula – CoreBiome (Tributyrin), Sunfiber, and ProDura (Bacillus coagulans) – promote joint and muscle health, according to the official website.
Dr. Steven Gundry
Steven Gundry, a California pediatric heart surgeon, is the brains behind Bio Complete 3. Gundry established the International Heart & Lung Institute and the Center for Restorative Medicine, both in Palm Springs, California.
Dr. Gundry is behind a broad range of supplements, including Vital Reds, Total Restore, PrebioThrive, Lectin Shield, Proplant Complete Shake, Primal Plants, Heart Defense, E-Balance, and Enhanced Circulation Formula.
A professional license search via the California DCA website validated Gundry’s claims of being a licensed physician and surgeon in Palm Springs, California.
Gundry MD
A business search via the State of California Secretary of State website rendered results for the Steven R. Gundry, M.D., Medical Corporation. It did not render results for Gundry MD.
BBB-Accredited
Gundry MD is accredited by the BBB with an A+ rating and 148 complaints over the last year. The complaints are regarding non-deliveries and unauthorized credit card charges. Several customers regarding the authorized credit card charges claim they did not finalize their purchases. Oddly enough, the customers claimed they added several products to their cart before exiting the website. A short time later, they received order confirmations in their email boxes.
Another customer shares a similar experience but through another website called MCT Wellness. This time, the customer claimed to have purchased a 3-month supply of Energy Renew without actually confirming the order. After the order was placed, MCT Wellness offered the customer a huge discount on a 6-month supply of Energy Renew, which was ordered without the customer’s authorization.
Aggressive Promotional Tactics
It appears gundrymd.com utilizes aggressive promotional tactics, according to multiple BBB complaints. The complaints claim at checkout, the website immediately offers products at discounted prices. The customers claimed Gundry MD placed the order for the promotional items without their authorization.
Afterword – Bio Complete 3 Scam
Is Gundry MD a scam? Is Bio Complete 3 a scam? Steven R. Gundry is a licensed California surgeon and author. Apparently, Gundry has a broad range of nutritional and dietary supplements that are available through the official and multiple affiliate websites. The legitimacy of the Gundry MD affiliate program is questionable, with its massive volume of customer complaints.
It is very unfortunate, but when some physicians agree to promote nutritional supplements, they forget where they come from. When it comes to dietary supplements, consumers appear to be immediately drawn to those promoted by a licensed physician.
While none of the BBB complaints are regarding effectiveness, it needs to be addressed. Not one customer complaint addressed the effectiveness of Gundry MD supplements. So, it is questionable if these products do what the good ole’ doctor claims.
A 2018 study showed the supplement industry worth $30 billion. Combine this extravagant price tag with an unregulated market, it is no wonder medical professionals across the globe are hopping on board the supplement endorsement train.
More evidence is needed to determine the legitimacy of Gundry MD and other supplement brands. The FDA and AARP warn of potential supplement scams targeting vulnerable American consumers.
An interesting article ‘Dietary Supplements: Do They Help or Hurt,’ published in January 2013 on the Harvard Medical School website, questioned both the effectiveness and safety of dietary supplements. The article claims some supplements pose health risks when consumed in large doses.
The article mentioned a study that focused on antioxidants, which are supposed to minimize the risk of diabetes, cancer, Alzheimer’s, and heart disease. The study showed promising results, but Harvard Medical Professor of Medicine Dr. JoAnn Manson pointed out that the study was only “observational.” Observational research is limited to oversight only, with no legitimate testing or data collection, such as diet, exercise, and medicine regimens.
Manson went onto say that high doses of vitamin D may increase the risk of cancer, the opposite of what supplement manufacturers are touting to consumers.
Celebrities like Cindy Crawford ‘Meaningful Beauty’, Dr. Oz, Emma Thompson, Dr. David Sinclair ‘Head of Aging Lab’, Steve Baxter, and Sally Field are just to name a few who have been tied to endorsement scandals.
It is unclear if Dr. Gundry manufacturers the Grundy MD supplements or just endorses them. But, consumers need to be aware of the health and financial risks when buying into these products.

SCAM. Made me so I’ll. Cost 80.00 to return then they withheld 134.00 credit. SAVE your money
Would recommend filing a chargeback with your credit card company if possible. You may still get the rest of your money back.
I’m an RN and I will let you know where I stand in about 6 months. I am trying the BioComplete 3. The science is compelling and like most American’s, I have not kept a pristine diet plan. I do my homework and I have to say, I get him and his “plan”. Whether it works wonders for me, I’ll be the judge. Buyer beware is my motto but I see a good path and absolutely reasonable guidelines to this plan for a healthy diet. Anyone who sees a plan like this as a magic pill is doomed to failure but I will monitor from start to finish and in 6 months, I’ll have the information and results to determine if this plan is right for me. I have completely cured C Diff (myself) with pre biotics, probiotics and diet management, when prescription meds did not touch it. As an RN, I am pretty holistic and using food as the medication needed to cure as well as prevention, well, that’s my path and I’ve already proven it’s worth.
Glad you are willing to take a financial loss for an unofficial dietary supplement. My mother is a retired nurse who highly advises against unofficial supplements. If you do have a medication contraindication or allergic reaction, you will have no one to blame but yourself. There will be no company to sue because these scam artists are nothing more than average internationalists. Good luck!
I like the supplement but the Customer Service stinks! I called them to update payment information on a supplement subscription because my debit card had been compromised. I gave them all the information and they did not change it as I requested, Instead, the order was declined because they tried to charge it to my closed card and i did not find out until several days later. If you order, do so one order at a time and not through subscription!
Have you questioned why your credit card was compromised? These websites utilize questionable payment processors. Be careful!
