New Tampa, Florida – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said in a news statement that it is investigating a murder-suicide in New Tampa.
According to HCSO, the Dispatch Center received a 911 call about a shooting in the 18000 block of Royal Forest Drive in New Tampa around 6:30 p.m. on December 18, 2024.
Authorities say deputies found 67-year-old Steven Glantz suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body. The victim later passed away at an area hospital.
HCSO says surveillance video in the area showed a suspect walking up to the victim’s residence. Following the sound of multiple gunshots, the suspect was seen leading on foot, according to police.
The Sheriff’s Office says deputies searched the area with help from the K-9 Section and found 66-year-old Timothy Lobianco deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Detectives believe Glantz and Lobianco were neighbors.
It is not known what led up to the shooting at this time.
