In Georgia, the Albany Police Department has announced charges against 22-year-old Gabriel McCoy for the alleged sexual battery of a 13-year-old female.

APD reports that officers responded to the 2000 block of Leonard Avenue for an alleged sexual battery involving a 13-year-old female on November 11, 2024.

Police say the juvenile advised that 22-year-old McCoy had touched her inappropriately without her permission. The statement was corroborated by another 13-year-old male witness, according to APD.

Authorities say McCoy had asked the male juvenile to hook him up with one of his juvenile friends and he attempted to contact a 13-year-old female using social media.

Following an interview, McCoy was charged with Sexual Battery and booked into the Dougherty County Jail. Investigators are looking for additional victims. APD asks anyone with information to call the Police Department at 229-431-2100.
