The Abilene Police Department reports that it is searching for 49-year-old James Wesley Key in the area of Grape Street and Roosevelt.
According to APD, Key shot an officer who attempted a traffic stop. Police say Key is on foot and at large.
Anyone who sees Key should not approach him because he is considered armed and dangerous.
