Baton Rouge, Louisiana – The Baton Rouge Police Department said in a social media statement that it has arrested a suspect in connection to a Christmas parade shooting.
According to BRPD, a 15-year-old male suspect was allegedly involved in a shooting that occurred at 275 South River Road around 9:52 p.m. on December 14.
Police allege that a verbal dispute occurred between two groups before the shooting. One victim suffered a non-life-threatening injury as a result of the shooting.
The juvenile was booked into EBR Juvenile Detention for Attempted 1st Degree Murder, Illegal Possession of a Handgun by a Juvenile, and Illegal Use of a Weapon.
Authorities say the 15-year-old was previously arrested for 1st Degree Murder in 2024.
