Lincoln City Police arrest reckless driver who sent 76-year-old pedestrian to the hospital

Lincoln City, Oregon – The Lincoln City Police Department said in a social media statement that it has arrested an alleged reckless driver who sent an elderly pedestrian to the hospital.

According to LCPD, its dispatch received calls of a vehicle versus pedestrian crash in the area of the north 1700 block of Highway 101 around 9:39 a.m. on January 9, 2025.

The 76-year-old victim was transported to an area hospital and remains in critical condition. LCPD says the driver of a dark blue Volkswagen, 20-year-old Aden Williams, allegedly struck the pedestrian in a marked crosswalk.

Williams was booked into the Lincoln County Jail on a charge of Reckless Driving. A charge of Vehicular Assault has been referred to the Lincoln County District Attorney’s Office.

LCPD says Williams was also issued traffic citations for Driving Suspended, Driving Uninsured, and Failure to Yield to a Pedestrian in a Crosswalk. His passenger, 19-year-old Magali Ramirez, was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Cowlitz County for Rape of a Child III.
