Jackson, Tennessee – The Jackson Police Department has identified the body found near the 900 block of Westover Road.

According to JPD, investigators found a body located off the side of the road in the 900 block of Westover Road around 2:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.

Authorities say the body had been placed there and covered. The Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the individual as 34-year-old Jesse Hamilton.

Police say Hamilton suffered one gunshot wound. JPD confirms the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call JPD at 731-425-8400 or Crime Stoppers at 731-424-8477.
