Vallejo, California – The Vallejo Police Department is investigating the city’s 24th homicide of the year. According to VPD, officers responded to a call for service regarding a shooting inside a building in the 200 block of Broadway Street around 12:56 a.m. on December 24.

Police say responding officers found an adult male suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The victim’s identity is being withheld at this time. VPD’s Homicide Detectives have assumed control of the investigation.

Police are not providing any suspect information at this time.
