Scotland Neck Police looking for vehicle in double shooting on Monday night

Scotland Neck, North Carolina – The Scotland Neck Police Department says it is currently investigating a double shooting that occurred near 8th and Chestnut Street.

According to SNPD, the shooting left two men with gunshot wounds. Although the injuries are serious, police do not believe they are life-threatening. Chief Parker said that he and three other officers responded to the call after the victims drove themselves to the police department.

The shooting was reported around 10:40 p.m. in the 500 block of East 8th Street. SNPD says multiple rounds were fired into a vehicle that was dropping another individual off at a residence.

Police say the victims were not fully cooperative, but they did provide some details. Police have identified a person of interest and believe this is a domestic-related crime.

SNPD has provided a picture of the suspect vehicle which has tag number LAR-7748. Police say the vehicle is known to be in the Scotland Neck, Enfield, and Roanoke Rapids areas and should be driven by a female.

SNPD asks anyone who sees the vehicle to call 911.
