Vallejo, California – The Vallejo Police Department has announced the arrest of a former Vallejo City Unified School District teacher who is charged with multiple sexual offenses involving a minor.

According to VPD, 46-year-old John Paul Acac was arrested just before 3 p.m. on December 19, 2024. Police say Acac was arrested for several felonies including Lewd and Lascivious Acts with a Minor and Intimidating a Witness or Victim.

Acac was booked into the Solano County Jail with a bail of $585,000. VCUSD officials say Acac began working with the district in the fall of 2005 and resigned on December 9, 2024.

VCUSD says he held multiple positions as a teacher and athletic coach at Vallejo High School and John Finney Education Complex. VPD said in a statement that the current charges involve allegations that were approximately 10 years ago.
