Copperas Cove, Texas – The Copperas Cove Police Department says it had arrested a suspect for allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with a student at S.C. Lee Junior High School.

According to CCPD, it was notified of an allegation of an improper relationship between a female student and an educator on November 7, 2024. Police say the alleged offense occurred in 2021 when the alleged victim attended the High School where the educator was employed.

CCPD’s Criminal Investigations Division alleged that a sexual relationship occurred between the student and educator in 2021 at his residence in Copperas Cove. Authorities obtained warrants for the man on December 19, 2024.

CCPD says the man was taken into custody at his residence. The suspect is facing three counts of Sexual Assault of a Child.

At this time, CCPD has not identified the suspect. Following the arraignment, police will identify the man as well as his bond amounts.
