New Orleans, Louisiana – The New Orleans Police Department said in a statement that it is searching for the adult male suspect who is accused of fatally shooting a Cox Communications employee.
NOPD says it is searching for Jalil Williams who is wanted on charges of Second-Degree Murder. NOPD says it was notified of an unresponsive person lying in the roadway next to a work truck around 12:19 p.m. on December 16, 2024.
According to police, the victim was found suffering from gunshot wounds and passed away at an area hospital. The Orleans Parish Coroner has identified the victim as 35-year-old Adam Brown.
Detectives allege that the shooting occurred during the commission of an attempted robbery. NOPD asks anyone with information about Williams’ whereabouts to call the Homicide Section at 504-658-5300 or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
