Snellville, Georgia – Gwinnett County Police are searching for Royal Marks who was allegedly taken by his mother, Michelle Marks. According to GCPD, the police department responded to a 911 call in the 3500 block of Valley Bluff Lane in Snellville in reference to a missing child.
GCPD says officers learned that Michelle Marks had lost custody of Royal for child neglect while they were living in Oklahoma last year. Authorities say Royal’s father said that Michelle had come to Georgia to visit the child.
During the visit, family allegedly heard Michelle make several threats to harm herself if she lost custody of Royal. Michelle allegedly made the threats in response to a conversation about an upcoming custody hearing.
Royal’s father reportedly told police that Michelle took Royal in the middle of the night. Investigators say they have obtained kidnapping warrants for Michelle who also has warrants for her arrest from Oklahoma.
Michelle has used several names in the past, including Michelle Jones, Michelle Legacy, and Michelle Young. Michelle does not have a vehicle, but she may have access to ride-share apps.

Update – GCPD confirms Royal Marks has been found safe and the suspect is in custody.
