Robbery at Bob Richards Jewelry leads to shooting according to Germantown Police

Update 2 – Germantown Police say they have arrested multiple suspects in connection to the robbery at Bob Richards Jewelry on December 16.

According to GPD, 29-year-old Jonathan D. Spates, 34-year-old Jackie J. Spears, and 29-year-old Trayneisha  N. Hurt have been taken into custody.

They are charged with Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Assault, and Felony Vandalism. Police also say Hurt is charged with False Reporting.

Detectives have also seized both vehicles involved in the robbery.

 

Update – The Germantown Police Department said in a social media post just after 4 p.m. that officers had recovered a vehicle involved in the robbery. GPD also says one person of interest is in custody and is being treated at an area hospital for a gunshot wound.

Original – The Germantown Police Department is currently investigating a robbery and shooting incident at Bob Richards Jewelry at 1696 South Germantown Road.

According to the Germantown Police Department, officers responded to the store around 1 p.m. on Monday. Police believe the suspects occupied two vehicles and targeted the business.

One of the vehicles crashed into the store’s entrance allowing the suspect to gain access to the showroom, according to GPD. Police say the suspects were armed and shots were fired by staff inside the business.

Authorities say no injuries were reported by staff members. GPD has not provided any suspect information at this time.
