Update – The Parker Police Department reports that it received a call from a resident in the 19700 block of East Centerville Court around 6:30 p.m. that a family member was acting erratically and was armed with a gun.

PPD says officers reached the scene and contacted the suspect as well as other individuals inside the home.

According to PPD, the suspect refused to come outside leading to a standoff that lasted for several hours. The suspect was taken into custody at 10 p.m. PPD says there are no injuries to the suspect, family members, or officers.

Original – The Parker Police Department is asking individuals to stay indoors following the sighting of a potentially armed subject. According to the Parker Police Department, emergency services are responding to a possible armed subject in the general area of Parker Road and Indian Pipe Lane.

Individuals in the area of Parker Road and Indian Pipe Lane and those in the area of Parker and Hess are being asked to shelter in place. PPD urges these individuals to stay indoors in a closed building and to keep pets and children inside.
