Harris County Sheriff’s Office investigating after FAA employee pistol-whipped at Hooks Airport

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an alleged pistol-whipping of an FAA employee at Hooks Airport in the 9800 block of North Grand Parkway West.

According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, a male, who was possibly in crisis, allegedly pistol-whipped an FAA employee and discharged a weapon at two other people who were working on a tower.

Only the pistol-whipped employee was injured. The Sheriff said the employee was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries. The suspect fled the scene and was detained at his residence.
