The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department says a movie theater was evacuated after a man was observed entering the theater wearing a bulletproof vest and carrying a firearm.
Apple Valley Station deputies responded to the Apple Valley Cinemark for a report of a person entering the theater with a weapon and a bulletproof vest around 4:19 p.m. on December 8, 2024.
Authorities say the theater was evacuated and the subject was identified as Byron Murphy. According to officials, Murphy was found to be in possession of an airsoft rifle and was wearing a tactical vest.
