The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reports that a barricaded suspect at Lifepoint Church has been taken into custody.
According to MCSO, 35-year-old Jose Salvador Martinez, entered the church after crashing his vehicle nearby. Once inside, he allegedly locked himself inside the pantry. Police are still investigating the circumstances for locking himself in the pantry.
MCSO says Martinez would not communicate with negotiators. Deputies reportedly pushed the door open further before Martinez became physically resistant and combative.
Authorities say Martinez was taken into custody and taken to an area hospital for treatment. MCOS confirms charges are pending further investigation.
