The Napa County District Attorney’s Office has announced a guilty plea in connection to a child molestation case. 42-year-old Brad Rowell pleaded guilty and no contest to ten counts involving two separate victims.
The charges include Lewd Act Upon a Child, Unlawful Sexual Intercourse, and Oral Copulation of a Person Under 18. Under the terms of the plea agreement, Rowell will serve a 15-year sentence in state prison and register as a sex offender for life.
Rowell will also have a 10-year protective order for each victim and pay restitution to his victim. Authorities say Rowell was charged with crimes against two victims in separate jurisdictions.
Officials say the most recent crimes occurred when Rowell was a track and field coach at American Canyon High School and the victim was a student. The second victim was outside of Napa County and was 14 at the time of the incident.
Authorities say the victims were consulted and supported the plea agreement. Rowell will be sentenced on January 6, 2025.
