The Delaware State Police reports that it is currently investigating a shooting at the Biden Welcome Center in Newark. According to DSP, troopers responded to a shooting at the welcome center at 530 John F. Kennedy Memorial Highway around 7 a.m. on December 1.
DSP says the preliminary investigation determined that a 45-year-old Goshen, New York man had stopped at the service station during his travels.
The man was reportedly approached by an unknown suspect or suspects who robbed and shot him. DSP says troopers arrived at the scene and found the victim lying in the parking lot outside of Starbucks.
The victim was transported to an area hospital suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. Police have not provided a description of the suspects at this time.
