Update 2 – Yorktown Police have confirmed that a 63-year-old female was fatally shot on Saturday evening at the Coach N Four Apartments in Jefferson Valley. YPD says the suspect, Salvatore Ciniglio, was apprehended by the City of New York Police Department.

Update – Around 12 a.m., YPD confirmed that Salvatore Ciniglio had been taken into custody. The shelter in place order has been lifted.

Original – The Yorktown Police Department issued a shelter-in-place order for residents of the Couch N Four Apartments complex at 620 East Main Street in Jefferson Valley on Saturday night.

In an update, YPD said it was searching for 51-year-old Salvatore Ciniglio in connection to a domestic incident that occurred at the apartment complex. Police warn that they are looking for an individual who is believed to be armed and dangerous.

YPD asks anyone who sees Ciniglio to call 911. YPD is still asking residents to shelter in place until the matter can be resolved.
