The Owensboro Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that it calls an isolated incident. OPD reports that dispatch received several calls about a firearm discharge around 6 p.m. on September 19, 2024.

Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Hathaway Street and the intersection of East 8th Street and Center Street. Authorities say one person suffered a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to OHRH via a personal vehicle.
